Supercar Rally

As the appointed logistics provider for the Gumball brand, Transcar Projects were partnered with the rally organisers to help them achieve numerous challenges each year. The pinnacle of this to date was the charter of 3 x AN-124 aircraft to transport over 125 super cars, including USD$ 1.5 mio Bugatti Veyrons and Maclaren Mercedes from the UK to Salt Lake City in the USA, via Bangkok. All this was achieved within a 6 day period with careful planning and an on the ground team at each location.

Biofuels

Transcar Projects were awarded the full turnkey logistics contract for this groundbreaking BioFuels project in the UK. The project presented many obstacles that required careful planning, including the charter shipment of four large columns from India to the UK. One of the columns required jacking down and skidding on teflon plates to get under an overhead pipe rack on the active site.

Pearl GTL Project

Transcar Projects were awarded the turnkey logistics contract in partnership with another global logistics contractor. This world record setting contract required the full turnkey control of over 2 mio Frts from globally sourced locations at levels never seen before. At peak, the JV was shipping over 120,000 Frts a month, sourced from over 30 locations, consolidated for shipment in 6 key global hubs and then shipped into one point (Ras Laffan, Qatar). The project was a huge success with exclusive use of our Transfreight tracking system to schedule every single nut and bolt on the contract.

Scarab/Saffron Xmas Trees

As a result of our extensive project history in Egypt, Transcar Projects were asked to execute a full turnkey project with a major USA based Oil & Gas client that also manufactured high value sub-sea x-mas trees in the UK. Because of the urgency, six of these trees were placed on chartered AN-124 aircraft using the specialist skid and gantry load system that these aircraft utilise for this type of cargo.

NSRP Project

This huge 1.5 Mio Frt project was secured in conjunction with our long term Japanese partners for a large consortium of Japanese, Korean and French EPC contractors. This complex project had operating centres in each key location and required extensive resourcing within each point, as well as in our London office and Vietnam.

Bullet Tanks

Transcar Projects were awarded a record breaking contract to transport 2 huge bullet tanks from their Malaysian port of entry, up to the client’s laydown facility. These LPG tanks each weighed over 550 tons and were over 9 mts in diameter and 55 in length.

Reels

Transcar Projects were asked to assist with an urgent charter requirement to get three large reels of sub-sea unbylicals from Denmark and the UK to Singapore, in South East Asia. We quickly sourced a coaster and HL vessel option that ensured they were consolidated in the load port for the Heavy Lift Vessel and were then delivered within the tight timeframe, without damage and ahead of schedule, which resulted in one very happy partner and their client.

Demethanizers. Habshan Project

Transcar Projects and its Japanese partners Tatsumi were awarded a turnkey logistics contract by a large Japanese EPC to ship and deliver this 750,000 Frt contract. This included the shipment of two main 960 Ton Demethanizers from Korea to Abu Dhabi.

Barzan Project

As a result of the continued success of our partnership in Japan, Transcar Projects and its Japanese partners were awarded the huge 700,000 Frt Barzan project in Qatar. The contract required extensive knowledge of the specialist duty exemption processes in Qatar as well as the movement of large and heavy cargo through the port of Ras Laffan. Our proven track record on the Pearl GTL project as well as our local presence in Qatar proved to be invaluable contributors to the Project’s logistical success.

Artenius PTA

Transcar Projects were awarded the turnkey logistics contract to ship the fifth in a series of PTA projects for the same technology owner, which was a testament to the success of the previous four. This project presented a number of challenges, including the charter of several vessels to bring the heavy lift materials from their global locations to the project site, with onward delivery via a local quarry.
