1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies, including local storage, can remember preferences or help measure how a website is used. We do not load non-essential technologies until you make a choice.
2. Technologies used
| Category | Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | transcar_consent_v1 local storage | Remembers your selected privacy categories. | 6 months |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4G-8J1SCF2ZK6 | Measures visits, engagement and successful enquiries. Google commonly uses cookies beginning _ga. | Commonly up to 2 years |
| Functional | Google Maps | Displays the optional office-location map. | Controlled by Google |
| Marketing | Google Tag ManagerGTM-M322QTWB | Loads the existing marketing-tag container. The container was empty at the time this policy was updated; any future advertising tags must remain consent-controlled and be reflected here. | Depends on tags configured |
3. Your choices
You can accept all optional categories, reject them, or choose categories individually. Rejecting optional technologies does not prevent you from reading the website or submitting an enquiry. Google Maps remains replaced by a privacy placeholder until functional content is enabled.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, this site keeps analytics and marketing disabled. You can also remove stored cookies through your browser settings.
4. Google consent signals
The site sets Google Consent Mode v2 defaults to denied before any optional Google tags can load. Consent signals are updated only after your explicit choice. Analytics and Tag Manager scripts are not requested until their relevant category is enabled.
5. More information
For information about the personal data associated with these technologies, see our Privacy Policy. Questions can be sent to sales@transcar.co.uk.
