Newsfeed Update
Woodfibre LNG has welcomed its liquefaction module aboard a specialised heavy cargo vessel. Weighing 10,847 metric tonnes, it is the heaviest module to become part of the future Woodfibre LNG facility. Occupying a footprint roughly the size of a football field, it is also among the largest.
Moving a 10,847-tonne module the size of a football field requires coordination across multiple specialists. The vessel charter. The port with adequate crane capacity and laydown space. The heavy transport configuration for overland movement. The installation crew mobilised and waiting.
When a module of this scale arrives late, standby costs run into six figures per day. When it arrives damaged, the project timeline shifts by months whilst replacement fabrication happens halfway around the world.
Transcar coordinates heavy lift sea freight, port discharge, and overland transport for LNG and energy facility components across continents. We handle the logistics where cargo is critical and installation windows are measured in days.
There's no margin for error when the module weighs 10,847 tonnes and the installation crew is already on site.
