Newsfeed Update
The clocks go back on Sunday. For heavy cargo heading into northern ports, the plan changes with them. From late October, the weather starts setting the pace. Stronger winds can halt crane lifts. Swell can stop discharge at exposed berths. And where permits only allow daylight moves, shorter days mean fewer hours on the road. None of that stops cargo moving. It just means the plan has to make room for it. A schedule built on September conditions can lose days in November. For winter moves, we build weather standby into the lift and discharge plan, check crane wind limits against the season, and book road moves with spare days in hand. Cargo heading into Northern Europe or North America this winter? Send us the dates and we'll show you where the weather margin needs to sit. #ProjectLogistics #HeavyLift
