Qatar's next LNG expansion is moving into construction and the equipment contracts are already being placed. QatarEnergy has awarded the EPC contract for North Field West to a joint venture led by Technip Energies. Baker Hughes has separately won the contract covering gas turbines and centrifugal compressors. Source: Euronews, April 2026. North Field West adds 16 million tonnes per year of LNG capacity, with first output now targeted by the end of 2031. The components needed to build it, fabricated across multiple countries, must all arrive in sequence against a fixed construction schedule. That work begins years before a first cargo leaves port. Transcar has a proven track record executing complex LNG programmes across the Gulf.
