Newsfeed Update
Load. Stow. Secure. Discharge. Four operations. Each one a discipline in its own right.
Loading. The lift plan is jointly agreed by the shipper's representative, the cargo superintendent and the carrier's surveyor.
Weight distribution and structural limits are engineered inputs. Not assumptions.
Stowage. Where the unit sits aboard the vessel determines the forces it experiences at sea. Stowage plans are calculated. Not estimated.
Securing. Lashing and bracing are engineered to the cargo, the vessel and the sea conditions for the voyage. Generic arrangements are not adequate for exceptional cargo.
Discharge. All approvals, equipment and personnel confirmed before the vessel arrives.
Improvisation at discharge is where costs accumulate and damage risk increases.
None of these stages operates independently. They are a single connected operation.
At Transcar, that is exactly how we manage them.
