Newsfeed Update
Booked the berth? Good. That still doesn't mean your cargo can come off there. A berth booking reserves a slot. It tells the port a ship is coming. A berth pre-approval means the port authority has checked your actual piece: its weight, its footprint and how it'll be lifted. They've confirmed the quay can take the load, the crane can reach it and the trailer can get in. Skip that step and a heavy unit can sit on deck while the port runs its checks. The ship waits, and you pay for every hour. We get pre-approval signed off before the ship sails, not when it's alongside. Heavy piece on order? Forward us the drawing and destination port, and we'll list what the port will want to see. #HeavyLift #ProjectCargo
