Newsfeed Update
A single delayed handover between vendors can cost more than the entire freight invoice. When accountability is split across five separate parties, no one owns what happens in the gaps. The vessel operator is responsible for the sea leg. The haulier for the road leg. The customs broker for clearance. Each performs their scope. Nobody is responsible for what happens when one leg runs late and the next is not ready. That cost does not appear on any freight invoice. It appears in demurrage, in standing time, in an installation crew waiting on site while paperwork catches up. The clients who have moved away from that model tell us the same thing. The saving is not in the rate. It is in the programme. At Transcar, one team manages every leg. When something needs a decision, there is no chain to climb.
