A 43.5-tonne brewing tank just travelled 1,500km across Mexico. Bridges were physically lifted. Road surfaces were milled down to gain vertical clearance. A highway toll station was completely dismantled and removed. Bucket trucks travelled ahead of the convoy to manually raise overhead utility cables.
The nearly 25-metre-long tank created a convoy over 47 metres long and more than 6 metres high. Temporary bypasses had to be built to avoid unfeasible roadblocks and tight turns. When some local authorities call a move "almost impossible," it takes years of experience and detailed route surveys to know how to respond.
