640,000 kg. Fixed installation window. The final five kilometres were the hardest part.
We shipped a CO2 Absorber from Korea to Darwin, Australia for a global oil and gas client. The installation date was fixed. A full vessel charter was the only option to make it work.
Getting the unit from Darwin port to site was the real challenge.
Local roads had rarely accommodated equipment of this scale before. Multiple route surveys were required. Coordination with port authorities, transport providers, and local road agencies were all needed before the unit arrived.
On arrival, it was transferred to specialist hydraulic trailers selected specifically for the weight, the dimensions, and the road conditions.
On time. Without incident. Installation proceeded as planned.
