A remarkable project logistics operation recently completed the delivery of water pipes and associated equipment from the Port of Lianyungang in China to a remote construction site in Peru's Cusco Province. Two ocean voyages were followed by a 1,230-kilometre inland haul using a rotating fleet of trucks, with each one-way trip taking approximately three days.
Once assembled, the pipeline will span more than 7.4 kilometres, serving six districts.
