Transcar wins Habshan Phase 5 Project in Abu Dhabi
Transcar Projects and its partners Tatsumi Shokai are delighted to announce the recent award of the full turnkey logistics contract for the JGC's portion of the 5th phase of Abu Dhabi's Integrated Gas Development (IGD) project, which aims to increase the offshore gas production by 1 billion cu.ft/d, utilising gas recovered from the Umm Shaif field and Khuff reservoirs.
The USD$ 4.7 billion EPC contract awarded by GASCO in mid 2009 is split into two parts, with Tecnimont working on the main plant and JGC developing the associated facilities. In total, the project represents over 750,000 freight tons of cargo, of which the JGC portion represents around 350,000 freight tons which will be managed and controlled by Transcar in London and its partners Tatsumi in Tokyo.

Main shipping activity is expected to start in the second half of 2010 and continue through until late 2012.
Transcar are pleased to announce the award of the turnkey logistics contract for Air Products portion of the Sphinx Glass Project in Sadat City, Egypt.
Sphinx Glass' Greenfield plant will be located in Sadat City, some 70 kilometers north of Cairo, and has licensed world-class production technologies. The 220,000 square-meter state-of-the-art
factory will have a production capacity of 600 tons of glass per day and will sell to both the local and export markets, splitting its initial production evenly between thetwo. Sphinx Glass is a wholly owned subsidiary of GlassWorks, a company established by Citadel Capital and a group of leading regional investors to pursue investments in the promising MENA glass industry.
Transcar will be responsible for all aspects of the logistics management for the projects various vendors as well as Air Products own global facilities, which is controlled via their Walton on Thames office in the UK.
Drawing on their extensive experience in Egypt and utilising its own office there, Transcar will also coordinate the complex duty exemption arrangements along with the final delivery to site from Alexandria and Cairo as appropriate.
The project is scheduled to run until the end of the first quarter of 2010 and will be operated from Transcar's main head office in London in association with its local operation in Damietta for local services.

Transcar
wins Vivergo Bioethanol Project in Saltend, UK
Transcar are delighted to announce that they have secured the award for
a full turnkey logistics contract for Vivergo Fuels for their Bioethanol plant
in BP's Saltend plant near Hull in the UK.
Bioethanol is a renewable substitute
for gasoline made from the carbohydrates in plants and the Vivergo plant will
take in over one million tonnes of UK sourced wheat each year to create two main
products; bioethanol and animal feed. It will produce 420 million litres of bioethanol
per annum and 500,000 tonnes of high-protein, high-fibre animal feed.
Transcar
are working with Aker Solutions in Portsmouth as well as Praj India, who are both
part of the joint venture with BP in this exciting new project for the UK.
The
project is expected to complete and start production in September 2010 and will
be run from Transcars main London office in conjunction with its associates in
India, as a large portion of the cargo will ship from the Praj facility in Kandla.

Transcar
Wins Artenius PTA Project
Transcar are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the full transport
and logistics contract for the Artenius PTA Project in Sines, Portugal.
The
project, which is to be constructed in the Sines Industrial Park, approximately
80 Kms south of Lisbon on the Portuguese coast will produce in the region of 700,000
t/y of PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid). The contract Transcar have been awarded
also includes for the substantive onshore delivery program through to site, which
will include both civil and general remedial works to get the numerous heavy lifts
and over-dimensional cargoes from the port to
the project site. Transcar and
its local partners (Arnaud & OGF) have already embarked on the complex process
to ensure all aspects of these works are managed and run smoothly for the Artenius
and Aker teams.
The project, which will be run via Aker Solutions Portsmouth,
UK office, will also require Transcar in-house staff to work along side the Aker
and Artenius teams, coordinating with the onshore and site teams accordingly.
Mrs Di Kenny, Transcars' Operations Manager, will be responsible for running the
contract along with the head office and implant teams for the duration of the
project.
This award ensures Transcar remain one of the worlds most experienced
PTA Project logistics contractors, having completed several PTA projects at places
as diverse as Indonesia, Pakistan, Taiwan and Thailand, now adding Europe to the
list.

The
logistics contract is expected to run for approximately 18-24 months.

Pearl
GTL Project - Qatar
On October 1st 2006, a joint venture between Transcar Projects Ltd and Transoceanic
Projects Ltd (TT-JV) was awarded the turnkey shipping contract for the two phases
of the Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) Project in Ras Laffan, Qatar. This fully integrated
GTL project is being developed by Qatar Petroleum and Shell.
The award
represents over 1.0 million freight tons of cargo associated with the development
and construction of the world's largest GTL project, that will
produce 140,000 bpd of GTL products
and approximately 120,000 bpd of condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane.
The success of the joint venture between Transcar and Transoceanic, who
usually compete for similar business, has been generated as a result of over 18
months of hard work and intense activity. , Both companies co-operated closely
to ensure the systems, procedures and overall team proposals scored highly in
the evaluation process, which was managed by a joint venture between JGC Corporation
and Kellogg Brown & Root Inc (KBR).
Transcar and Transoceanic managing

Rabigh
Petrochemical Project - Saudi Arabia
Transcar Projects Ltd are delighted to announce the award from Tecnicas
Reunidas, Madrid for their Rabigh Refining Plants Project,
based in Rabigh itself on
the West coast of Saudi Arabia.
The project represents a substantial
portion of the overall Rabigh development scheme and strengthens Transcar Projects
well established track record within Saudi Arabia and the surrounding region.
It will comprise of over 150,000 freight tons of globally supplied cargoes running
mainly into Jeddah with a fair selection of heavy lift cargoes also running into
Rabigh jetty itself. The expected shipping period will run through 2007 and into
2008, during which time Transcar will have a shipping team based in their Orpington
head office as well as personal positioned in Madrid and Jeddah, to manage local
operations.
